As he left the court, Michael's thoughts burned
Michael's guts churned, Michael's feelings turned
From anguish to animosity
Crippled by despair, justice not served
A trial not worth the lingering hurt
Caused by his enemy
A reporter's interrogative forces a cognitive process
To emerge in Michael's fractured psyche
"Other men might seek revenge," Michael finally comprehends
What he must do to regain his sanity

Distracted, mournful
His infinite pain obliterating all morals
Blank-eyed stare at the funeral director
Discussing payment plans on child size coffins

Tracked down his home
From court records
Tightening the grip on his revolver
Michael breaks and enters

"Please kill me," he mumbles with the gun to his head
"I can't bear the nightmares, please do what's right."
Michael dropped the gun, understanding the curse
